I found a bare Wii over at the Goodwill Outlet recently but have no idea if it works. In case it’s dead I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a power supply and controller. Other than Amazon and eBay, are there any places you’d recommend to find these parts on the cheap?

Some flea markets might have a stall or two that deal in old gaming systems.

There’s one in the Flea Market in Dixie Outlet Mall if you happen to be in the Toronto area.

If you have any used game shops, they may test it out for free. If you are actually looking to buy Goodwill and pawn shops. Take a look on ebay and amazon if you feel like it.
